Steve ranked #8 in San Francisco in 2016 and #7 in San Francisco in 2017 for individual sales volume as reported by The Luxury Marketing Council of San Francisco (now known as LuxeSF). On-average Steve is within the upper 15 to 20% of the 1000 leading agents in the US for individual sales volume as reported by WSJ/Real Trends and has ranked as high as #44 nationwide. Steve has represented buyers and sellers in transactions totaling well over $1 billion dollars.

Steve’s scope of work, while broad and diverse and often confidential, includes the successful representation of clients in the purchase and sale of some of San Francisco’s most iconic, high profile, and rarely available residences, a number of those sales completed quietly off-market.
Among other notable sales, Steve represented either the seller or buyer in 4 of the 12 highest city-wide San Francisco house sales since 2011, and represented either the buyer or seller in 7 of the highest annual sales between 2009 and 2015.
Prior to real estate, professional experience was focused on the non-profit sector developing and managing community-based drug prevention initiatives, consulting with programs serving at-risk youth, and overseeing program evaluation at the local through federal level. Steve has graduate degrees in Public Management and Social Policy and pursued Doctoral Studies at UC Berkeley.
Steve’s vision for philanthropy resulted in a broker-driven fund supporting hundreds of San Francisco non-profits since inception, resulting in millions of dollars for the non-profit community. Steve served on the board from 1993 through 2018. He also served on the board of Huckleberry Youth Programs for 8 years and is a member of HYP’s Leadership Circle.
Steve and his wife Donna, a former successful small business owner and real estate agent, have been San Francisco residents since relocating from the east coast in 1976. Steve’s son Adam, a former real estate broker, is the Co-Founder and CEO of Disclosures.io.
